2024 Jeep Wrangler – Features, Specs, and Cost
Jeep has long been known for its heavy-duty SUVs with stellar off-roading capabilities. So, it’s no surprise that the newly launched 2024 Jeep Wrangler won the hearts of many in the country. The new Jeep is set to redefine off-roading adventure for all its passengers. The latest Jeep Wrangler hit the market with a slight refresh, such as an updated grille, neutral gray metallic bezels, body-color surrounds, and a trail-ready stealth antenna.
Engine and performance
There is only one powertrain option with the Jeep Wrangler: a 2.0-liter turbo engine capable of delivering up to 272 horsepower and 41 kg of torque.
Design
Jeep is known for its adventurous off-roading design and the new Jeep Wrangler 2024 is no different. The base of the car remains the same: a tough, boxy, military-inspired design with round headlights and a large grille. That said, there have been some exterior improvements. The most notable of these is the upgraded 7-slot grille, featuring wider slots for airflow, which also helps improve the car’s cooling efficiency.
The car is available in two body styles: a 2-door and a 4-door variant. It offers customization options such as removable doors, available half-doors, and a power convertible top.
Comfort
Jeep can make off-roading and adventures feel more comfortable, which is evident from its attention to detail. This shows well in the Jeep Wrangler 2024 as well, which has features like dual-zone air conditioning to let passengers in each row set their ideal temperature, remote start, and keyless Enter n’ Go for a safe and smart entry and ignition experience, and a tire monitoring system so drivers know when to recalibrate directly for a comfortable ride.
Apart from this, the new Wrangler 2024 has a modern and updated cabin, starting with a new low-profile center fitted with Jeep’s UConnect 5 infotainment system and a backlit 12.3-inch touchscreen. The car also has standard wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for uninterrupted connectivity. The front seats are 12-way power-adjustable, helping passengers find the utmost comfort, especially on long drives. Besides that, the seats have also been tested for water fording and are fully operational even when submerged.
Technology
Some of the standout tech features in the new Jeep Wrangler 2024 include an Alpine Premium sound system equipped with eight speakers and a subwoofer, along with features such as active noise cancellation and a laminated windshield with sound insulation, an adaptive autopilot system to ease the driving experience, and a 7-inch instrumental panel that can be customized to view navigation, stats, and media in one place.
Besides these, the Wrangler also has the Trails Offroad app that displays where the trails are and interesting details about them. The unpaid version includes information for over 200 trails, while the paid version increases this to over 3000.
Those opting for the higher-end model (Rubicon) will find more tech and mechanical features to enable safe off-roading. This includes a Dana 44 HD full-float solid rear axle, bead-lock-capable wheels with 35-inch tires, steel bumpers, an integrated off-road camera, and a Sky-One touch power top, i.e., a power convertible top.
Buyers interested in going the hybrid route can opt for the e-Torque mild hybrid system available with the V6 engine. This can improve the car’s fuel economy and give it better starting power and off-road performance.
Safety
Jeep’s cars are known for their sound build quality and extensive safety offerings that enhance driver security and performance. A few of these include forward collision warning with emergency braking, blindspot monitoring, automatic headlight switching, multi-stage airbags, park sense, and ascent and descent assistance.
On the higher trims (Rubicon), drivers will also find the WARN winch for extra capabilities. This winch has a capacity of 8,000 pounds and has been paired with a steel bumper to provide extra support and protection during off-roading. Another standout safety feature on this trim is the TruLok differential lock, which can electronically lock the rear and front+rear differentials to prevent unwanted wheel spinning on difficult terrain and ensure a secure ride.
Cost
The new Jeep Wrangler 2024 is available in three main trims, each with different prices.
Sahara: From R$ 456,992
Sahara Unlimited: From R$ 466,889
Rubicon: From R$ 481,834
One should note that these are only the showroom prices for the vehicles mentioned and that the on-road price can differ significantly. Further, depending on one’s city and the dealership they approach, buyers might be able to find additional deals, offers, and discounts on their purchase of the new Jeep Wrangler. This might come in the form of free accessories, including maintenance visits, cashback, or an initial discount on the main price. So, buyers should check with their dealer for any ongoing offers before they make a purchase.
